The fourth edition of the Battery Innovation Days (#BID2024) was a major success. Back and co-organised by leading European research initiatives such as the BEPA – Batteries European Partnership Association, Batteries Europe, and our umbrella’s one BATTERY 2030+. Held on the 26^th and 27^th of November 2024, in Barcelona (Spain) and online, the event brought together key players and experts from the R&D&I battery sector, policymakers, industries and end-users.

The RENOVATE project was proudly presented by our coordinator, Eliana Quarterone, in front of an audience excited to learn how our project, along with other sisters such as ReUse and REVITALISE, are contributing to the development of new technologies aimed at enhancing recycling efficiency and profitability. These discussions extensively covered direct recycling, advanced pre-treatments and design for recycling.

The event expanded knowledge, allowed for exchanges and fruitful discussions, and created new collaboration and business opportunities through speech sessions, co-creative workshops, and exhibitor booths. It was also a significant occasion for young researchers, with prices and awards being presented.
